I began working in the highways industry over 20 years ago, as a trainee with Cambridgeshire County Council. After several promotions I became Project Manager, managing a team of Engineers, delivering improvement and maintenance projects across North, East and West Cambs. After 13 years, I moved into bid writing at a civil engineering contractor. I then carried on honing my skills at a bid writing consultancy as a Manager, before setting up Pickerings Bid Consultancy in early 2023.

- Member of the ICE and EngTech
- NRSWA Supervisor and Sector 12D TM
- VRS Inspector
- SMSTS and CSCS card
- Level 2 CAD, Key Sign/Line
- Industry specific topics including asphalt design, traffic engineering
